Corey (James May) is the average single gay man looking for love. His life consists of work, the gym, dinner at home and occasionally hooking up with men he meets in a singing chat room. Corey used to date Nathan (Navaris Darson), but they decided they were not ready for a serious relationship and now are good friends who occasionally play tennis together. In the opening song, BOYCRAZY, Corey, with the help of four Dancers (R.J. Enriquez, Demetrius Thomas, Glen Llanes & Brett Alan Nelson), professes his love of the single life. While shopping with his roommate, Rebecca (Sue Gisser), Corey admits his reluctance & doubts in having a long-term relationship. IN THE CHATROOM, Corey sings about the joys of on-line interactions with the chatting men that pop up. The next day at his workplace, Corey literally runs into co-worker Derek, who he falls in love with in a matter of a song, THIS MUST BE LOVE. Six weeks later at the tennis court, Nathan admits to Corey, that he still has feelings for him & feels ready to date again. In the song, 40, LOVE, Corey ponders his choices, not only between Nathan and Derek, but between being single or in a committed relationship. After an INTERMISSION song, the story picks up four months later at the tennis court with Rebecca and her girlfriend Sam (Amy C. Quick) playing doubles against Nathan and Corey. Corey has chosen to date Derek and remain friends with Nathan. In WASTED LESBIAN LOVE, Sam & Rebecca sing about their love for each other and question how their love is perceived in a man's world. Corey witnesses their compatibility, longing for that feeling in his own relationship. In PERFECT DINNER, Corey and Derek celebrate four months of dating each other. The song begins with the two men complimenting each other and their love, but as the dinner progresses, their lack of communication and connection is sorely revealed. The scene is interjected with Corey at home later that night chatting on-line with 'DV8' (R.J. Enriquez) who he decides to meet.At the bar, Corey has a few drinks and enters into his fantasy world and dances the TANGO with the four Dancers. He kisses Dv8, but his indiscretion is observed by Nathan. Corey exposed, realizes how detached he has allowed himself to become from Derek and himself. During the montage song, TRY, Corey ends his relationship with Derek, deletes his on-line profile and focuses on improving himself rather than focusing on other men. Months later, Corey and Nathan are back to playing tennis again. Corey asks Nathan out on a date and Nathan accepts. Corey feels ready for a relationship. They both admit to their willingness to take it slow and keep learning more about each other in REPRISE: THIS MIGHT BE LOVE.
