The short film “Change We Need” was inspired by this remarkable presidential election- the historic occasion brought about tremendous change by electing the first African American President. However this was a bitter-sweet day for the gay community who saw their rights usurped. This forces us to ask the fundamental questions- are we truly seeing the change we need? And how can we live in a society with so much hope and understanding of the human plight of civil rights and equality yet is so blatantly discriminated against? This thought provoking and poignant piece explores those questions and sheds light and hope on society.
